One of my inspirations for wanting to photograph pregnant bellies is from a childhood picture.  It is a photograph of my mother when she was eight months pregnant with her first child.  Her friend took a photograph of her standing in front of a window with the sun shining on her silhouette.  She wore a flowy, red dress and a smile of pure bliss.  To this day, the picture takes my breath away.  I treasure this image so much that I want to give others the opportunity to freeze that moment of their own, for themselves and to share with their own babies to grow up and look back on.
