Photographer - Megan Cahill
I am a cambridge based montessori teacher with a passion for photography. My style has been described as organic, with an emphasis on capturing – not manufacturing – the moment. I find it exciting to photograph my subjects amidst the joys of their own lives and in their own natural settings. Photographing cuddly, sweet babies and spirited children are my true favorites! I prefer to join people where they are most comfortable. I think everyone should wear their favorite outfits (there’s no such thing as “silly”), pose where they feel most comfortable, and smile only when they really feel it.
I am self taught, and continue to refine my skills through the help of friends and fellow photographers. I have been taking photographs semi professionally for the past seven years. I use a NIKON D7000 and natural ambient lighting, and in keeping with my aesthetic of capturing the real moment, prefer not to edit the resulting images beyond a light touch-up.
